I was also encouraged to take a leadership role in student government.

Vita: Born Sept. 10, 1963, in Montclair, N.J.; bachelor’s from Rutgers University and law degree from University of Virginia; wife and three children.
What he’d be if not a lawyer:
Either a zoo veterinarian or a movie director.
Why he chose to specialize in this field: White-collar criminal defense requires you to constantly learn about new businesses and related regulations, as well as to develop trust with clients in stressful circumstances.
Passions: Hiking and spending time with my family.
Favorite place: Asheville
Favorite book:
he Man to See: Life of Edward Bennett Williams by Evan Thomas.
Hero: Judge Graham Mullen, who taught me how to try cases, as well as how judges temper justice with mercy.
