Why she chose this field: Firm management asked me to develop a bankruptcy practice in 1982 when I was a first-year associate. Memorable case: Representing two brothers involving the bankruptcy of a construction company for which they had guaranteed millions in debt. Passions: Snow skiing, cycling and golf. Recent reading: James Dodson’s A Son of the Game, a soulful book covering the history of Pinehurst, amateur golf legend Harvie Ward, who spent his last days teaching in Pinehurst, and the camaraderie the game engenders and the tradition of golf as passing from father to son — or in my case, from mother to son.
