North Carolina Economic Development Guide
It's easy in North Carolina
There's much to like about working here, too. German filter-maker Mann+Hummel Group opened a headquarters and research-and-development office in Raleigh to take advantage of recruitment and technology development. St. Augustine, Fla.-based NTE Energy LLC and Atlanta-and San Francisco-based T5 Data Centers LLC, which count AT&T and Disney as tenants, are finding the resources they need in Kings Mountain, including support from officials and off-the-beaten-path peacefulness. In the western counties, outdoor-gear manufacturers have world-class proving grounds that also keep their employees - who like to use the gear as much as make it - happy.
That's how John Lassiter wants it. He's chairman of Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina Inc., which was created to provide nimble and cost-effective marketing and customer service to a revamped N.C. Department of Commerce. The public-private partnership brings business assets together to help companies relocate of expand. We chose to live, raise our families and work here because of what our state has to offer.
